Creamware's Prodissey is shipping now. The ASB Prodissey is a digital DSP-based hardware re-creation of the vintage Odissey synth which can also be used as a USB soundcard an be remote controlled by its dedicated software. Its control surface can generate MIDI remote commands. Patches can be downloaded from the software to the ASB and run in stand-alone mode with no connected computer.

Cubase 4 will be released by Steinberg on the 9th of October. The products range has been simplified so the SX, SL and SE variants have disappeared and are replaced by Cubase 4 in place of SX and Cubase Studio instead of SL and SE.
The main new features are:
- enhanced user interface
- a control room mixer handling external devices
- "Sound Frame2 helps you keeping track of all sounds on internal and external synths
- 33 new VST3 plugins
- enhanced score editor
- 4 new bundled VST instruments including Halion One, a special version of Halion, fitted with sound banks from Yamaha's Motif synthesizers
